"Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta" Season Two Returns Tonight at 9/8c on WEtv

WEtv hosted an exclusive event for the return of the hit series, “Growing Up Hip-Hop Atlanta,” at Tongue & Groove in Atlanta. Cast members Da Brat, Jermaine Dupri, Lil Mama, Ms. Deb Antney, DJ Hurricane, Ayana Fite, Masika Kalysha, Jhonni Blaze and Kiyomi Leslie were all in attendance and joined a room filled with celebrities, media, guests and influencers.

Other notable attendees included: Waka Flocka Flame, Tammy Rivera, Charlie Rivera, Datari Turner, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, Eva Marcille, Byron ‘BT’ Turner, Todd Tucker, Trina Braxton, Towanda Braxton, Frank Ski, Dianna ‘Miss D’ Williams, D. Woods, Cynthia Bailey, Keke Wyatt, Karlie Redd, Desiree Connell, Truth Hurts, Tray Chaney, Pimpin’, Taylor Girlz, Miss Mulatto, Street Bud, Kissie Lee, Tiffany Evans, Momma Dee and Althea Heart.

Following the star-studded red carpet, guests mixed and mingled while enjoying cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and music. The room was abuzz with people talking about the latest updates on the GUHH cast. Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta originally premiered on May 25, 2017 and chronicles the lives of the children of hip hop legends in Atlanta.

“Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta” returns to WE tv on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 9pm ET/PT; and this season it’s a clash of the generations, with the OG’s of Hip Hop ready to dish some tough love! Fiery newcomers are bringing heat to the Atlanta scene and shaking things up, including R&B artist Masika Kalysha and hip-hop artist, Lil Mama! This well-connected Atlanta cast also features Bow Wow, child hip hop star who grew up under the Tutelage of Snoop and mega-producer, Jermaine Dupri; Shaniah Mauldin, Jermaine Dupri’s biological daughter; and Ayana Fite daughter of The Beastie Boys mainstay, DJ Hurricane.

Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta,” chronicles the perks and perils of being born into Hip Hop royalty in the city that the New York Times called “Hip Hop’s center of gravity.” The rich history of the Atlanta hip hop scene has fostered a unique sense of pride and closeness among the artists that resembles a family. But like any family, Atlanta’s next generation of hip-hop stars do not always get along. Growing up together in the shadow of their legendary parents has established tight bonds and bitter rivalries, as everybody fights for their chance to push their way into the spotlight.

The second season of Growing Up Hip Hop Atlanta returns tonight, Thursday, October 11th at 9/8c on WEtv.
