The single release arrived on the heels of Freeman’s announcement that he will be joining Grammy Award-winning group Jagged Edge on their “An Evening With Jagged Edge 2025 Tour”, a commemorative trek celebrating the 25th anniversary of the group’s landmark album J.E. Heartbreak. The tour, promoted by Live Nation Urban, marks a full-circle moment for Freeman, who previously collaborated with Jagged Edge on the remix to his seductive single “U N D R E S S.”

““MVP” is about the one you love. Simple as that. The person you look at and just thank God for every single day. Even if that person is you. Celebrate the MVP’s in your life this day and the next,” said Freeman.

ABOUT JACK FREEMAN

Jack Freeman, a Houston-based R&B singer-songwriter, continues to shape the genre with his third studio album, Nina. Co-produced by Grammy Award-winner Bryan-Michael Cox, the project explores love, relationships, and resilience, blending house beats, bounce rhythms, and chopped-and-screwed elements. Last summer, Freeman toured with Kenyon Dixon and later joined Jagged Edge for select dates on their An Evening With Jagged Edge: 25 Years of J.E. Heartbreak tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of their classic album.

Rooted in authenticity, Freeman built his career on the mantra: “Make good music and tell the truth.” His breakout single, “Nobody,” was featured in Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It, and he has collaborated with Scarface, John Legend, and Joe. With projects like Spotless Mind, Define Love, Leather, and Blood, he remains one of R&B’s most compelling voices, proving why he’s a vital force in modern music.
